Small friendly tennis club based at Guessburn always looking for new members. Ladies night Monday evenings, 7-9pm, Men’s night Thursdays 7-9pm, weekend social tennis on Saturday afternoons. We run separate junior sessions too. There is also adult and junior coaching available.

STOCKSFIELD RETIRED MENS ASSOCIATION
We meet on the first and third Thursday of each month except August and December in the Hall of Stocksfield Baptist Church (NE437DU) at 10.00 a.m. to chat and to listen to talks on a wide range of topics satisfying all interests and tastes. Membership fee; we only ask for a £2.00 contribution for each meeting attended. We have an annual summer and occasional other trips throughout the year. There is car parking and disabled access to the hall. Please check our Facebook page for our program of events. We aim to encourage friendship, goodwill, and understanding so why not pop along and meet new friends?


LUNCH WITH FRIENDS AT STOCKSFIELD BAPTIST CHURCH
For many years, volunteers from Stocksfield Baptist Church have run a monthly lunch club for elderly people from the local area, many of whom live alone. A nutritious home cooked two course meal is served in a warm and friendly atmosphere where people can enjoy a chat and make friends. The lunch takes place at 12pm every 4th Thursday of the month but we also provide a buffet lunch every 2nd Thursday following a short service which starts at 11am. If you would like to come along, or you know someone in the community who would benefit from a meal and some company, please let us know by contacting the organiser, Sheena Anderson, on 01661 843162.


STAY AND PLAY AT STOCKSFIELD BAPTIST CHURCH
Stay and Play is a toddler group run by volunteers from Stocksfield Baptist Church for children from birth to starting school and their carers. It runs every Tuesday during term time from 10-11.30am. A variety of activities are provided as well as singing and story time in a relaxed and informal setting. We would love to welcome new members so feel free to come along. STOCKSFIELD RETIRED MEN’S ASSOCIATION
Stocksfield Retired Men’s Association is now meeting monthly on either the first or third Thursday on Zoom at 11.00am but the meeting will be open beforehand. There will be a talk, time for a coffee (bring your own) and a chat. Our November talk will be given by the internationally renowned speaker and site archaeologist from Vindolanda, Marta Alberti. Marta joined the Vindolanda Trust in 2015 as site archaeologist and has since then become a familiar face for both visitors and volunteers. Marta comes from Northern Italy: she relocated to the UK to get her Masters degree and decided to stay for good. She is known for her booming voice, Italian enthusiasm, and ever-changing choice of haircuts.
