PONTELAND SENIOR GENTLEMANS CLUB
As the lockdown drags on with no prospect of us being able to resume meetings in the Memorial Hall, we have decided to hold online Zoom meetings at our usual meeting times – the second Monday of every month at 2.30 pm.

These will take the form of a short talk followed by an opportunity to ask questions and to chat.

There is no meeting this month. The first meeting will be on Monday 14th December at 2.30pm, when a talk will be given by The Rev’d Christine Brown.

CROQUET
Fancy trying a new sport?
Belsay Hall Croquet Club, is located in a beautiful setting within the walled garden at the Hall.
The playing season is typically the beginning of May until the end of September. Members pay a small annual fee to the club and must also become members of English Heritage who manage the site.
To get started you will only need to have a pair of flat soled shoes. All other equipment needed to play the game is provided completely free of charge by the club. – Anyone wishing to give the game a try or develop their existing croquet skills should contact either Colin on 01661 825980 or David on 0191 236 5374. RAF AIR CADETS
733 Sqn Air Training Corps is open to boys and girls between the ages of 12 to 17 years. The Squadron activities include flying, gliding, shooting, first aid, cadet camps home and abroad and the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme. As part of one of the largest women’s voluntary service organisations in the world the Inner Wheel Club of Ponteland was founded over 54 years ago. Britain’s national walking charity has a local group based in Ponteland. We organise group walks in Northumberland and North Durham on alternate Sundays and the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month. Sunday walks are usually between 7 and 9 miles and always involve a stop for a picnic lunch. Wednesday walks are usually 5 to 7 miles and sometimes offer the option of a pub lunch after the walk. WALKING SCOTTISH DANCE!
You might have heard of Walking Football and Walking Netball, well now we have started this new activity at Ponteland U3A.
We meet on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at St. Mary’s Church Hall, Ponteland, 2.30 -4.0pm Cost £12 for 4 sessions .
If you can walk and you know your right from your left, you have all the necessary skills! We laugh a lot at ourselves and each other but enjoy the expert guidance of our teacher Sheila Trafford.
