Tyne Valley Express

Charity Page

Tyne Valley Express have supported numerous charities over the years with free ads, articles and special features – all of which help to promote our local community values. Here are just a few of the great causes we’ve been involved with over the past decade:

Feeding Families

Feeding Families was founded and is based in the North East of England, with 2 packing centres, one in Byers Green, Spennymoor and the other in Gateshead. The charity runs projects throughout the whole year and their 'Emergency Food Boxes' provide essential food that will support 2 people for 3 days.

Hexham Abbey

Hexham Abbey is one of the earliest seats of Christianity in England. Since its beginning, it has witnessed periods of immense turmoil and change, across the region and within the English Church itself. Many of these are reflected in the very fabric of the building we see today.

Men's Sheds

Men's Sheds provide community spaces for men to connect, converse and create. The activities are often similar to those of garden sheds, but for groups of men to enjoy together. They help reduce loneliness and isolation, but most importantly, they’re fun.
